｜溯古 Then｜
志文裝訂行創辦人葉金全在60年代於赤峰街覓得此幢30年代建成的洋式街屋，以其一生執業書籍裝訂服務，至今仍完整保留的撿字房與壓書機、糨糊台等超過一甲子的裝訂機具，見證台灣書籍製程的鼎盛時期。
In the 1960s, master bookbinder Yeh Chin-Chuan, founder of Zhiwen Bookbinding, discovered this Western-style townhouse built in the 1930s along Chifeng Street. He would dedicate his entire career to the craft of bookbinding here. Many of the original tools—including a movable type cabinet, book press and glue station—remain intact after more than six decades, bearing witness to the golden age of Taiwan’s print and publishing industry.

2022年起由長期經營美術館商業通路、積極推廣台灣藝術的巡藝創辦人承接該場域，以信念傳承為宗旨結合新舊店名，遵循宋代文人四藝，以「點茶、品香、賞畫、蒔花」相關選品、展覽與工作坊，悉心鋪墊台灣藝術與赤峰街國際旅客的基石。
Since 2022, the space has been revitalized by the founder of “ART to go”, and a longtime promoter of Taiwanese art and museum retail. Merging past and present, the new name Zhiwen Bookbinding House・Rouge Espace honors its heritage while ushering in a new creative mission. Inspired by the Four Arts of the Song Dynasty—tea ceremony, incense appreciation, painting, and flower arrangement—the venue now offers curated selections, exhibitions and workshops that connect Taiwanese artistic heritage with a growing community of international visitors to Chifeng Street.
▸ 店面外觀保留50年歷史的鐵窗花與裝訂行古董招牌以及近百年洋樓歷史的花瓶柱。
The storefront preserves a 50-year-old ironwork window grille, the original vintage signage and classic baluster columns of the near-century-old townhouse.
▸ 乘載數十年歷史的鎖線機至今插電仍可使用／日本原裝進口的壓書機。
The vintage thread-sewing machine, still functional when powered on, epitomizes decades of bookbinding history. ／An imported Japanese book press continues to serve the space.
▸ 超過數萬字的鉛字牆面，顯示早期書封、名片、獎狀與畢業證書等製作物皆為純手工排版訂製的精緻產物。
A wall of tens of thousands of lead characters reflects a time when book covers, name cards, certificates and diplomas were typeset and printed entirely by hand.
▸ 透過改造前後對比照，可看見忠實呈現的原始樣貌。
Before and After restoration photos reveal the effort to faithfully restore the site to its original character.
